mIsSiOnArIeS around the world::
i got lots of letters from my missionary friends this week and sent out a few also.
it's so much fun to hear from all my friends and their mission experiences!!
just a few that I wrote this week;;
Elder Tyler Dodd.... Tyler is serving in Hong Kong- out of all my friends I think i enjoy his letters most because he tells me the most details about his mish and how he is doing. His birthday was this week... the 26th HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER! :)
Elder Ryan Nelson.... he is actually here in Nebraska! At the moment he is in Lincoln which is about 50 minutes from my house.
Elder Driggs Moore...... the funniest and nicest kid ever!! He is Masen's cousin. I think he is the only guy that will watch 'The Notebook' willingly with a girl. ha!
Elder Masen Ensign..... Masen is serving in the Oklahoma mission, but at the moment is in Missouri, i think.
Elder Nate Higginson...... I loveeee getting pictures from Nate, he is in FINLAND.
This weekend we MAY be taking a short weekend trip to Kansas to go to a dirt bike track for pj... it is still undecided. I will keep you posted :)

This week has gone by pretty darn fast.... I mean it's THURSDAY and tomorrow is the start of the weekend! YES!! --This morning I probably pushed the snOOze button maybe 10 times, I finally got out of bed when my mom called to make sure I was awake.
.....yes..... it's my fault though. I stayed up way too late talking on the phone! But I must take advantage of it because it's a very rare occasion when my friends call to chat.

** I haven't actually tried this recipe... but it looked so so yummy! If you try it before I do, please let me know how it tastes :)
Pumpkin Spice Cake;;
1/2 cup unsalted butter 1 1/4 cup light brown sugar 2 Large eggs
1 cup fresh or canned pure pumpkin (about 1/2 of a 15 ounce can)
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cup sifted cake flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp ground cloves
1/2 cup buttermilk
Cream Cheese Frosting;;
1/4 cup unsalted butter
2 tbsp pure maple syrup
8 ounces cream cheese
3-3 1/2 cup powdered sugar
--pre heat oven to350, butter cake pan
in bowl beat, butter & sugar until light or fluffy. add eggs- one at a time mixing well after each addition. Add pumpkin puree and vanilla extract. Mix well
In seperate bowl- whisk dry ingredients and spices- add flour & buttermilk alternately to pumpkin batter in 3 additions beginning and ending with flour mix.
bake 25-30 minutes
