So I got a letter from one of my really good friends this week that is on a mission in Hong Kong right now. He is an awesome guy and has been an awesome friend to me..... of course just like all of my friends he made fun of me ALL the time, but he was also there for me during one of the hardest times in my life&high school and really helped me get through it, and I don't think he even knows it!! But anyways, so in his letter he talked about everything going on in his mission, how he's doing, asked a few questions about Nebraska, talked about old times, all that jazz that goes on in letters. But at the end he wrote...........
"Something that will help you everyday is reading the Book of Mormon. I love reading it each day. It is my best friend on the mission. It brings me so much happiness and helps me come closer to the Lord. Read it everyday. I wish I would have in high school. I wish I would have read it a little bit. My favorite scripture is 3 Nephi 17:7. It says all those with any problems. If there is anything you need. You can come unto Christ and he will heal you. He will comfort you and help you."
I read that and thought, "Wow! Perfect Timing!!!!" This is exactly what I needed to hear right now during this hard time in my life. The Lord works in mysterious ways..... and through the ones we love. I am so grateful for such an amazing friend who is serving the Lord right now, and shared something with me that will help me get through this hard situation and he didn't even know it.
Today in church, the sister that gave the lesson in sunday school mentioned that ONE of the things that help us get through our difficulties, trials, and problems in life is Gratitude. To be grateful for everything we have will help us overcome our problems, and what will help us get through it. -----So I am being extremely grateful for everything that I have.... my amazing Family, home, the gospel and for everything good in my life.
