Braska LIFE, thoughts, & experience

On the 24th... in just a couple days I will have been here TWO MONTHS already!! it's SO crazy how fast time flies... Please SLOW down!

Pj is starting to bribe!!! First he talked about getting duck tape to keep me here for 5 years, then it was a chain, then a Shock collar..... NOW If I stay 2 years they will take me to Hawaii, and if I stay 5 years... ITALY!!! :) pretty good bribe right????? ;)

What I LOVE about Nebraska:

What I love most, is the opportunity and experience that I am having. Being able to live away from home, on my own (somewhat) I think is so important before getting married. It has really made me grow up and learn.

I love how Nice everybody is... yes there are a few cocky, rude people but... they are everywhere you go.

I love being able to live with such a GREAT family!! They are awesome and do so much for me! I really appreciate it. They are so much fun!

I LOVE the shopping!! I can't believe how much shopping there is here. I love money, and I love shopping! :) haha!

There is SOOOOO much food!! It's amazing how many restaurants they have! Omaha is rated Top in the Nation for Eating Out. That's what you do here... other places you go boating, movies, historical sites, etc... but here you EAT! It's awesome. Our goal is to eat somewhere NEW at least once a month!

There is alot that I love about Nebraska, but there are a few things that I HATE about Braska:

#1- BUGS & SPIDERS!!!!!!!

Being so far away from home, family, friends.

The roads in alot of neighborhoods are VERY narrow and there are TONS of houses being built making it impossible to drive.

Everything is so far away from home... at least ten mintues to the closest, ANYTHING. This would be okay if you didn't have children, especially a baby! Car rides sometimes are just so miserable.

No mountains.

I miss having everyone around me being LDS... it's rare here!! It is definitely different living outside of the Utah/Bountiful Bubble.

All in All I'm having such a good time here and I love it!!

I really wish that I would have taken school alot more seriously growing up.. Especially in high school and after graduating. I can't wait to be able to go back to school and get some more education!! This time I will be grateful for it and take it much more seriously. I really want to go to UVU!!! I am trying to convince Rachel to move down there with me when I get back and to go to school there with ME! School with Rach is always an ADVENTURE ;)

Recommended Movies:

"Everybody's Fine" .... SUCH a good movie. I really liked it.. ALOT. It is sad and depressing. I cried my eyes out. But it is a GREAT movie.

"Date Night".... HILARIOUS! Must See.

I have had MANY random friends message me while I have been here and tell me how grateful they are to have me as a friend!! Let me tell you... it has made my day hearing that. You never really realize how lucky you are to have friends and to just be grateful and express it is amazing!

So.... To all of my friends, I am truely grateful to have you as a friend. In some way or another you have all helped me and I love you all.

UTAH here I Come!! 15 days until my visit to Utah. I can't wait to see my family and friends.

Coming back to Braska after a weekend of Fun!

Homesickness=depressed or melancholy at being away from home and family.

I haven't really been that homesick. Especially the first few weeks. But now and again I will get a feeling of homesickness. Sometimes I just burst into tears and other times I just get really mellow and depressed. It usually doesn't last very long but it happens! I miss home, family and friends. BUT I do love it out here!!! :)

Skype is probably the best invention out there!! I absolutely loveee it! At first I just thought that it was weird and really awkward but now I just love it! I love being able to SEE and talk to my family! It always makes the day better.

So I have been telling myself a million times a day, for over a year now to buck up and get a set exercising routine down! I haven't been too successful. :/ Kelli and I went on our first run in BRASKA the other day... I am more out of shape then I thought!!!! but man, it sure does make me feel good, about myself and just in general after a great workout! Kelli and I decided that we are going to run a 5k in October. Our goal is to run 3 days a week to train for this! I have never been a big fan of running and I have never participated in a marathon before! We will see how it goes! I am stoked to maybe find another passion for something!

This cute little thing is going to be crawling ANY day now!! Look Out!!! Jaxson Proof House here we come!!!!!

For a couple weeks now my wrists all the way up to the tip of my fingers have been hurting.. mostly at night when I was in bed. But yesterday it was REALLY bad. I could hardly use my right hand without it killing!!! So I asked Dr Pj what he thinks it might be! He said that it is Carpal Tunnel, that it was most likely from picking up chubby Jaxson and texting! I believe it!! That kid is dang cute... but man he is heavy!!

So on Monday, I found ANOTHER huge spider in my bathroom... this time I was brave!! I killed it with the raid while standing on my toilet of course. On TUESDAY there was TWO, not as big as the last few I've seen so I got a shoe and stepped on them! YUCK..:/ of course they are still there! I know, I know that is disgusting! But they freak me out. One of them is really weird looking..... It must be a Nebraska spider cause I've never seen one before! It had small little balls at the end of each of it's legs... freaking weird. One, Two, THREE (Under the shoe)

Last week was unbelievably HOT.. so so miserable. We had "Excessive Heat Warnings" all week. With the humidity, it got up to 120 degrees!!! Also, it has gotten up to 104-106 degrees JUST in the GARAGE!!! This month is supposed to be one of the worst....... I believe it. I'm looking forward to fall! I'm SOOO ready for fall!

The other day we had something new for dinner.. well, it was new for me! It was SO SO freaking good. I loveeed it. So here is the recipe! you gotta try it....

Cream Cheese Chicken

5-6 boneless chicken breast

1 packet Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix

2 cans cream of chicken soup

8 oz cream cheese

mix cans of soup and packet of dressing together in a bowl. Place chicken in a crock pot. Pour soup mixture over the chicken. Cook all day on low. Mix cream cheese in right before serving.

Serve over rice or noodles.
