I guess now that I actually have a free moment, I can update you all on what has been going on the last few weeks.
First off. I am so madly in love with David Eggett.  He is everything that I have ever dreamed of and more. I’m the luckiest girl alive.
So, YES.  It’s officially official now.  We are engaged, and we’re getting married on April 28, 2012. 46 more days. eeeeek! It’s coming up quick, but we have tons of help which is making all this planning and what not a ton easier on the both of us.  So thank you everybody.
We would absolutely love to see you all there to help us celebrate our amazing day.  So if you haven’t already..... please send us your addresses!! Text, email, Facebook.
We seem to have all the major/important things taken care of up to this point.  I have my dress, we’ve taken our engagements, we found the location, colors are picked, announcements are in the process, showers are being planned, we’re registered at Bed Bath & Beyond and also Target, but there is still lots more planning to do.
So here is the proposal story.......
As all of you know,  Dave and I love boating (he more than I)  but it is something that means a lot to us.  He ordered the ring online and we had been anxiously waiting for it to come each day.  I knew that he wouldn’t actually pop the question the day he got it but I had hope that he might. All weekend long he had been telling me that he was going to hold onto the ring a couple days before he actually proposed.... just to drive me crazy. (remember this later on) So on Monday, March 5  Dave calls me and tells me someone wanted to buy his boat and that him and his friends were up at his house cleaning it before the guy came to pick it up. Oh and that he had borrowed a motorcycle and wanted to take me on a ride.  The whole way up he kept saying “what if the ring is on the porch when we get there?” “what if we see the UPS truck drive down as we’re driving up?” saying all these things to drive me up the wall. So we get to his house, everyone is just chillin in the boat. Dave and I are sitting there and I ask him not to show anyone but his parents when he actually gets the ring. He tells me that he wants to show his friends also, so of course I start to pout.  As I’m sitting there butt hurt, I don’t notice all his friends get up and leave, turn on the song “Gravity” by John Mayer, and Andrew standing in the middle of the road facing the opposite direction, and Dave telling me to come stand by him on the back of the boat.  Anywhooo.... I eventually get up to give him a hug and he pulls the ring out and says “Fine, I’ll show you first”. Gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him.  I was completely surprised, I started hyperventilating. And then I said yes. he put the ring on my finger. and now it’s official.  That day was the happiest day of my life this far and I can’t wait until the day that I get to marry my best friend.

So there it is.
